Total opposite way around on bass DI, where the MC77 just seemed to control without jumping around. MC77 always seems a bit more grabby and kind of erratic, whereas CLA76 is smoother and less noticeable. I can't quite get the same thing on the MC77 for gentle smoothing on drum group as I can with CLA76. I could get it in the same ballpark with a bit of tweaking though. I had to back off the attack on the MC77 to match my normal settings on CLA76 for snare. MC77 meter seems overdamped and slow in general. One thing I noticed is that the MC77's meter doesn't seem to move much, even when it's audibly compressing quite a lot. I bought the MC77 as a way of starting the painful withdrawal process from Waves plugins. I'm so used to CLA76 that I spent quite a lot of time comparing after getting the MC77.
